Morning Prayers

Before Iron Rites,
candles lit, wine poured, praising
Gods and Ancestors.

Forecast

Armchair weathermen

painting the apocalypse

for the coming storms.

Where is Iustitia?

No justice, no peace.
Every last politician
has blood on their hands.

A hometown visit,
cleaning, talking to the dead,
others...and myself...

Wistful

Soft alabaster,

Sparkling browns, a fast bright beam,
Time too far removed...

Stolen

"Every man a King!"
A dream we could have captured...
lost to a bullet.

A Father's Burden

No man wants to work
When he could be with his kids.
Precious stolen time…
